The wife and I got rid of cable tv a couple of years ago. We have an antenna and a DTVPal DVR made by Dish Network. This one has been discontinued but the Channel Master CM-7000Pal DVR is the identical device, just a little pricier. The advantage over Tivo is no monthly fee, the disadvantage is the guide is not quite as nice, but works. We stream content from the computers with our Blu-Ray player, which also does netflix and a few others if you have the accounts.

Those components are currently getting acquainted with a 6600 GT and complaining about having to carry so much more of the load. There is just no pleasing some chips. If they get nice and quiet though I may reward them with an 8800 or two.
